Team tasks and approval workflows
Chat groups help people communicate, but a request can disappear before someone owns it. A task register with owners, deadlines and approval rules makes the next action visible without repeatedly chasing the team.
Who this is suitable for
Service firms, small trading teams and shop operators coordinating work between staff or locations. The need comes from missed handoffs and unclear responsibility, rather than a minimum number of employees.
An illustrative workflow
This is an illustrative process, not a client case study. A staff member raises a purchase request, attaches the supporting details and assigns it to the responsible manager. The manager approves or asks for clarification. The task moves to the purchaser, who records completion. Staff can see the status and responsible person without scrolling through messages.
Implementation considerations
Define request types, decision owners, deadlines, escalation rules and what happens when an approver is away. Keep permissions appropriate to each role. Pilot one recurring process, train the people involved and review whether staff actually update the status. Start with a shared task tool when that is enough; use Odoo, integrations or custom software when connected workflows justify them. Automation and links to existing systems need separate feasibility checks and agreed scope.
